YASS MUSIC CLUB – CONCERT 1
The Idea of North

The Idea of North is an a cappella quartet of musi-cians featuring Sally Cameron (Soprano), Naomi Crellin (Alto), Nick Begbie (Tenor) & Andrew Piper (Bass). The group has a beautifully distinct sound & style, & crosses many musical genres: jazz, folk, gospel, pop, classical & comedy.

With 8 albums in its catalogue the group has a signif-icant fan base & increasingly regular local & interna-tional work. The quartet has many award winning recordings including the album “Feels Like Spring”, a collaboration with jazz great James Morrison, that won the 2010 ARIA award for “Best Jazz Album”. The group also won the 2011 Limelight Awards “Best Jazz Recording” for the album “Extraordinary Tale”.

YASS MUSIC CLUB – CONCERT 2
The Dolce Trio – The RAG Holmes Tribute Concert

The Dolce Trio is a newly formed chamber music trio from the ANU consisting of Kathryn Robinson (flute), Hannah Freedman-Smith (Clarinet) & Annie McGee-Collett (Cello). The group was formed in 2011 and plays in a variety of musical styles & genres, with the trio’s main passion being classical music.

An Evening with John Warner

John is widely known as one of Australia’s foremost songwriters in the folk tradtiion. The National Folk Festival hosted a ‘John Warner Concert’ in recognition of John’s prolific input into folk music featuring folk luminaries singing versions of John’s songs.

The RMC Big Band

The RMC Band is the official band of Australia’s Gov-ernment House, Parliament House and Royal Mili-tary College Duntroon. Its roles are many and varied and include such events as ceremonial parades, con-certs, guards of honour, state dinners, graduation balls and award investitures.

YASS MUSIC CLUB – CONCERT 4
The Katherine Holmes & Mary Reid Memorial Concert

Winner of the Sydney International Piano Competition

The competition, which was inaugurated in July 1977, is held every 4 years and is presented in association with the University of Sydney and with the co-operation of the ABC.

It is internationally recognized as one of the world’s great piano competitions and attracts a huge international body of contenders. The concert in Yass is part of the prize awarded to the 1st place winner and it is the acquisition of our Steinway piano which attracts such a top range performer.

Cantorian Sydney

Cantorian Sydney is a male voice choir in the Welsh tradi-tion under the baton of Dr Sion Llwyd. The choir’s reper-toire consists of classical, folk and sacred music and works from many ethnic sources. The choir sings at numerous music festivals including Welsh Gymanfas & German singfests, as well as dinners, weddings & conferences. The choir raises thousands of dollars for charitable purposes.
