Artist, educator, youth councillor and psychologist, Anne Hind has managed to juggle the many facets of her various careers simply by virtue of the fact that they are integral with one another.

“Though many folk in this region will be familiar with Anne’s beautiful floral work, her art is not limited to any one medium or style and her whole environment is a work in progress. Her family are like this ‘artist’s workshop’, no doubt through the influence of their creative ‘matriach!’ ” states YASSarts co-ordinator Kim Nelson (Anne’s daughter is sculptor Melanie Hind )

In 2007 Anne was invited to be involved in the body painting project for the ‘Bare Facts’ nude calendar – a charity fundraiser in the Yass Valley Shire. This high profile event attracted national attention, receiving much media coverage through television and in the press.

The image of Anne’s body painted artwork featured on the cover of the ‘Bare Facts’ calendar and in fact was so popular that Yass Valley council sought permission from the artist and ‘Bare Facts’ committee to use on the cover of their Yass Valley tourism booklet and promotional banners.
