Deronne – Steven
Medium: Sculptor & Painting
Enquiries: stevenderonne@gmail.com
For the last couple of years Steven’s artwork has been centred on the themes emanating from our universe-the planets, the stars, the ‘Big Bang’ and metaphysics.
He finds the beauty and immensity of the cosmos ‘mind-blowing’. He would like his work to provoke thoughts about slowing our hectic ways of life, learning to do a bit more star gazing and appreciate and look after the universe we exist in.
Steven loves exploring the ideas of Malevich, Mondrian, Kandinsky and Rothko – artists who have, no doubt, inspired him.
His sculptures are mostly made from steel and are metaphors of the universe.
He currently work from my studio in Murrumbateman, in the Yass Valley Shire.
