WEE JASPER ARTS FAIR FEBRUARY 2010

Wee Jasper Arts FestivalHave you ever been inspired to somehow capture the incredible landscape or identities of the Wee Jasper valley?

The 13th-14th February 2010  will see the Wee Jasper Art/Craft Fair taking place as part of the ‘Wee Jasper Naturally‘ weekend.

Entries, which must be Wee Jasper inspired, are invited for the competition and potential workshop presenters or art/craft suppliers are invited to contact Wee Jasper Reserves Trust about taking part in the weekend.

JOHN FORESTER CLACK @ AUSTRALIAN GALLERIES

Yass Valley artist John Forester Clack is now represented by one of the nation’s premier contemporary art venues, Australian Galleries, and is staging his first solo exhibition with them from 24 November until 19 December.

John’s son Toby is following in his father’s footsteps with a  major work featured in the current CIT Graduation exhibition being featured at the ANCA Gallery, Rosevear Place, Dickson (ACT).  The exhibition, entitled ‘Collidascope’ runs until 12 December

JUGIONG ART EXHIBITION

Though not definitively in the Yass Valley Shire, the annual Jugiong Art Show features many of the regions artists. The show will open with a Cocktail Party, Friday 27 November from 7.00 – 9.30pm

$25.00 a head supper and drinks provided at the Jugiong Memorial Hall.

The exhibition is staged in aid of the local historic St John the Evangelist Catholic Church

Jugiong Art Exhibition: Saturday 28/Sunday 29 November 10.00am – 4.00pm $5 entry fee.

JAN MATSON MOVES TO YASS

This year, Jan moved to the Old Stationmaster’s House in tranquil Yass and has painted a series of Australian country scenes – gorgeous landscapes and quaint, peaceful cottages. A Country Life celebrates Jan’s passion to live in a small country town.

A Country Life exhibition can be viewed at the Old Stationmaster’s House, 30 Dutton Street, Yass.

The exhibition runs from Sunday 22nd November to Sunday 6th December. Opening times are 9.00am to 5.00pm daily.

U3A ART @ YASS LIBRARY

The members of the Yass ‘University of the Third Age’ Art Group invite you to attend an art show to be held at the Yass Valley Regional Library. THe exhibition runs from the 16th to 28th November (open during Library hours)

Proceeds of commission from sales will be donated to Can Assist.

The official opening will be on Monday 16th November at 5.30pm.

PETER CRISP AT THE FIRESIDE FESTIVAL

Baskets CrispBe the first to see internationally renowned glass artist Peter Crisp’s latest exhibition – ‘Baskets in Glass’ as it opens on 16 August as part of the Fireside Festival. YASSarts EXPO AT THE SHEEPS BACK

ART OF LIVING WINTER EXHIBITION

The Art of Living gallery at Binalong are staging a new exhibition beginning Friday 26th June 2009. Entitled ‘Winter’ the show will have an official opening on Saturday 27th June 2009, from 4-6pm. The exhibition runs until Sunday the 16th August 2009 (see calendar for further details)
