Susan Bell has been “potting” since her school days. From her major work in the HSC, learning to thrown a teapot at 15, through many years of attending various workshops, classes and conferences in both Sydney and Canberra, she has developed a focus on wheelwork producing domestic and decorative vessels. She aims to create classic forms and delicate glazes, which remain timeless.
Until recently, Susan was a committee member of the Canberra Potters Society and worked in one of their on-site studios. With her recent move to a small rural property in the Yass district, she is establishing her own studio and hopes to expand the range of her work to pit and smoke fired pottery and gas reduction glazing.
