SIMEON YIALELOGLOU – Actor, singer, director, and writer
Though quite young, Simeon has been performing all his life, his first significant appearance being an ensemble member in “Th
e Music Man” when he was just eight. He would go on to appear in the ensembles for the shows “Camelot” and “Hair”, and he was later cast in lead roles – Goodman King in “Fame”, the Lion in “The Wiz”, and Hyde in “Jekyll and Hyde”.
Over the years Simeon’s focus has shifted and expanded to include directing and writing. He wrote and directed many student-based productions through high school, and has gone on to write two new musicals and several short plays, with more on the way.
In 2014 Simeon graduated from the Australian Institute of Music with a Bachelor of Music (Musical Theatre). Part of his studies included appearing as Bud Frump in “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying”, and writing and directing his graduation recital, “Sleep/Wake”.
Simeon is currently working on a new musical, Cracked (working title), which he hopes will see a life onstage before the end of 2015.
