The Yass Valley Writers is an informal gathering of local and regional writers who meet for fellowship, encouragement and sharing of work. The group first met around the turn of the millenium and continues to meet on a monthly basis. Members include writers of prose, poetry and drama.
The group published it’s second anthology in 2009. Their first outing, ‘Stray Leaves’, was published in-house in 2005 and was greeted warmly by those outsiders who came to know of it. This current anthology ‘Stray Leaves II’ is available via the Yass Newsagency and Yass Valley Visitor’s Centre or by the above contact.

Anyone who writes or wants to write is invited to attend. Don’t worry if you’re a bottom drawer scribbler – we all started out like that. Just turn up for a first visit to see if we are your ‘cup of tea’ and if you like our setup we’ll proceed from there.
