RMC Duntroon Band
Presented by the full Band of the Royal Military College of Duntroon led by Major Geoff Grey and involving every member of the unit. The famous RMC Band performs anything from movie themes to the modern vocal charts and ballet music to excerpts from popular musicals!
Through the Glenlothian Education Trust, with the assistance of the Rotary Club of Yass, we will award on the night a number of Dr RAG Holmes Yass Music Club Scholarships to promising young local music students.

Ukranian born Evgeny, who launched the Music Club’s Steinway Grand piano last year will be joined by Alexey Yemtsov, also from the Ukraine, who is highly regarded as one of the ‘up-and-coming’ young pianists of Australia. Alexey has performed in many countries throughout the world.

Dr R.A.G. Holmes Tribute Concert
Arnan Wiesel
The outstanding Israeli-born pianist Arnan Wiesel is the winner of many national and international prizes, including Israel’s highest prize for young musicians, the Francoix Shapira Prize. He was a finalist in the Sydney Piano Competition and a winner of the Philadelphia Radio Competition. Arnan is a senior member of staff of the School of Music, Canberra and will be playing works to include J.S. and C.P.E. Bach, Robert Schumann, Frederic Chopin and Sergei Prokoviev.

Nick Parnell will feature with percussion and piano and will entrance you with his soaring melodies and infectious rhythms on vibraphone, drums, bamboo chimes and even tuned wine glasses in an intoxicating blend of classical and world music! Nick’s presentation may include such pieces as Bach’s much loved Prelude and Fugue in G, Satie’s Gymnopedie No. 1 and the exotic Brazilian Rhapsody. A musical and visual feast for the senses!

YASS MUSIC CLUB
Sydney Cantorian Male Choir
It is the Yass Music Club’s final concert for the year and will be presented by the Sydney Cantorion Male Choir whose repertoire includes classical, folk and sacred music. The Cantorion of Sydney has given concerts with the Waverley Brass Ensemble, the Sydney Male Voice Choir and with the Harp Divas. The Choir has raised thousands of dollars for charitable purposes and it brings expressions of the rich choral traditions of European music. This glorious choir is under the direction of Dr Sion Llwyd M.Mus. and Rachel Harding M.Mus.
